L'Oreal Ever Pure

New Vox Box! And I love this product, as usual.  Before I get into that though some of you have asked me about Influenster and why I am always getting cool free stuff to try out. I get it, I'd be wanting to get in on the action too if I were you!  So, Influenster is this totally cool company that matches you up with products that you are likely to use and they will send you items that you get to use and review.  Click here to sign up, I won't get anything other than points for it but I have earned a box in the past just for referring a friend!
I have tested and reviewed everything from hot tea to hair care, I even got a wedding box a few years ago when I was in wedding mode, snacks, proteins, and I have been introduced to some great brands.
This month I received (free for testing purposes) L'Oreal Ever Pure Volume Shampoo & Conditioner.
I've used it for a week or so and I do love it! The shampoo lathers up so great - I have never found this with a Sulfate free product, and the conditioner leaves my hair manageable but with enough texture to dry and go without having to use mousse or hairspray and the less product I have in my hair the better I feel about life!
Two thumbs up from me.  Watch the video to hear more about the products.

So, my thoughts on everything...

Olay Regenerist Tone Perfect Cream - Great cream, I loved it at first, it made my skin feel silky smooth right after application, clean scent and not too thick.  However I am now starting to notice some extra dryness and I've narrowed it down to this cream.  I don't have a big need for a product that evens skin tone so I will likely not continue to use this one.  However, if I did the dryness would not be enough to deter my use, I have just added in an extra moisturizer and had no issues. Overall, I enjoy the product.

EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge - This little thing looked weird and I probably would not have purchased one in the store. I was not looking forward to cleaning my face with a loofah! However when you wet this all natural sponge it turns into a soft and squishy wonderful little tool, I love it.  I stopped using it for a few weeks to make sure it was not contributing to the facial dryness I was experiencing and it was not the culprit.  Very gently exfoliation and easy to use and clean.  I am a fan and plan to take a look at their line of brushes as well when I go back to purchase more sponges!

Pure Silk Shave Cream - Okay, I mush admit I am a soap and water girl...sometimes even just water - a quick swipe and I'm done for the day! I can't stand the ugly rust ring that shaving creams would leave and it wasn't worth the mess for me.  I'm happy to report that this silky cream smells absolutely delightful does not leave a speck of rust anywhere, and gives a beautiful clean shave.  Also glad to have this product - I can't say for sure if I will be converted but there is a chance!

Tide-to-Go - Well, I would love to give a personal review here but as soon as the Tide pen hit the counter it disappeared & I have since seen it in JR's tackle box & it has now been moved to the garage where he is a huge fan of the pen.  Mostly because he can't seem to refrain from wearing his wedding shoes out in public so he uses the pen to clean any scuffs that he has gotten on them. I have a feeling that if he is hooked on the pen that there will be plenty more lying around in the future!

Riley & Grey - This is a beautiful website & I really didn't get to take advantage of this offer because when I received my VowVoxBox I already had my wedding website set up and sent out & didn't see a need to add another one.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - I was so excited about this because I was sent Barracuda, the perfect color to go with my wedding! I had mixed feelings on the polish itself however but have decided I like it.  My first application it took 4 coats for good coverage, not impressed. Second time around I applied a base coat of my absolute favorite nail product Sally Hansesn's Hard as Wraps acrylic gel and results were much better.  I am hard on nail polish so I don't' expect a lot of wear but I got almost a week from this application so I was happy.  I painted my toes as well and that it what sold me, polish is still there no chips and looks great!

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Another item that I received complimentary for testing and review from Influenster... Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure Nails!

Now, don't be fooled, I really put off using these nails - I came up with all kinds of excuses on why I didn't want to put them on.  I don't wear nails for one, I feel like I don't function in them well, I am a personal trainer and I was afraid of a renegade plastic nail flying across the gym, and the list goes on.

But I eventually found an excuse to put them on thanks to a Tim McGraw concert that I was headed to and took the leap.  I have to say they were easy to apply I had no issues at all picking out sizes that matched my nail beds well.  I used the included alcohol wipe to clean, peeled the back off and pressed on!  Done.

They looked great, the design I received was not one that I would have chosen myself but it was still very pretty, I got compliments on them for days. they wore well and I really forgot they were there.  They lasted about 4 days and I'm sure would have made it longer had I not been on a kayaking trip - I think the extended time in the water at the sandbars helped the glue turn loose.  No damage to my natural nails at all though!

Critiques that I had about the nails - I would have liked a shorter length (I did see that they are available in various lengths) There was a slightly annoying tiny little tab at the end of the nail that I wasn't sure if I should try to file off or let it wear down, they felt slightly flimsy but I'm also an active blow & go kind of person, and the only other thing was the glue, it held really well but due to my natural nails being super short there was glue exposed on the underside that caught a lot of yucky looking stuff under there.

All in all I do like them though they are going to be perfect for those events where you need to dress it up a little bit and don't want to drop the cash or the time for a set of nails.  I also think it's really cute that you can mix and match.  24 nails come in the adorable little package so theoretically if you are up for a little variety, after purchasing a few sets you can end up with a bonus set with your leftovers!!

Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic

So when I finally got in my VoxBox from Influenster I was so excited, it was my very first one and I was pumped to get to try some new things!  I have to admit I was a little sad that I didn't receive the Dust It from Schwarzkopf since I thought that surely that would be the best product for my hair which is thin and fine and certainly can use some help with a little texture.  (and I have to say that I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster.)

Oh Well, carry on!  I went about my routine and before drying I worked in a little Gelastic and styled as usual.  Now let me clarify 'style as usual' there are 2 options here.  One is brush and dry for work (at the gym) so that means who cares and it's just going in a ponytail as soon as I make it out into the heat and humidity anyway so let's not kid ourselves.  Option two is I actually make an attempt at some volume- hairspray, teasing and the works.  Texas hair; I've been accused of wearing a bump-it on occasion.

Final result I was quite happy.  I tried something I would not have normally tried and had great results.  No flyaways or frizzies, plenty of hold and texture and no crispy hair even though it's as straight as a board.  Thumbs up Schwarzkoph!

Your turn - check out the Schwarzkopf Professional Website and see what you think about their products!
